Our next CraftAlong event is coming up! Join me to make Interlocking cards!

Yep thats right... our next CraftAlong event is coming up! If it feels like we just had the last one.... you are correct!  Im doing the April one about a week early because I will be away on the Mexico Incentive Trip with Stampin'Up! towards the end of the month. So everything is being pushed forward and I hope you are all ready!

CraftAlong is my monthly Virtual event - its a public video that anyone can watch for free, and each month we feature a different card style, technique or Product collection. This month we are doing "Interlocking Cards" and I know you will love them!  (One of my most popular videos of all time is an interlocking card I did a few years back)  So I am making them again this month and will show you a few different styles.

I have sent out the supply packs to make the project to everyone that ordered over $60 worth of products with me last month (March).  I do this each month - so that means if you have ordered over $60 worth of products with me in April (or do so before the end of this month) then you will receive the supply pack in the mail for the MAY CraftAlong.  So if thats you, keep an eye on your mailbox next month!

This month please note my go live time is slightly different.... it will be 3:00PM FRIDAY 19TH APRIL (Sydney Time)

So click the above link at this time to watch our video together.

I've also listed below the basic supplies I will be using to make our card.  If you do not have these items this gives you time to purchase them before the day if you wish.... or you can substitute with whatever items you have at home.

Supplies List

Crumb Cake Cardstock (measured at 28cm x 10.5cm, then score at 7cm from one end on the long side)

Basic White Cardstock (13.5cm x 10cm) plus scrap to cut shape for sentiment

Early Espresso Cardstock (6.5cm x 10cm - cut 2)

Co-ordinating DSP (6cm x 9.5cm - cut 2) - I used the "A little Latte" DSP - Item code 163453

Rose Gold Foil paper - scrap to cut frame for card plus one coffee cup

Black cardstock - scrap to cut Coffee Plunger and 3 small cups

Pecan Pie - small scrap to coffee shape

Window Sheet (or acetate) - to cut "glass" for coffee plunger

Inks: I used Early Espresso and Pecan Pie (Pecan Pie is a great coffee colour!)

You will also need embellishments when decorating your card.  I used the coordinating "Adhesive backed Swirl dots" on my card, but you could use any embellishments you like.  Copper elements will look especially good.

You will also need a trimmer, dimensionals, glue dots and other adhesive of your choice (I used Tombow Multipurpose glue)

I hope that helps everyone out so you can be ready if you would like to "CraftAlong" with me! Of course you are also welcome to just watch and enjoy the video and the chit chat!

See you Friday!

Join the Club! Introducing the Incolor Club for 2024!

Hello friends!

It's been a couple of years since I did a product share/colour club, and I've decided to do one this year.  Clubs are a great way to get all the new colour products that you want, but in a budget-conscious way.

How does it work?

You sign up for the club by contacting me via email HERE.  Just let me know you would like to join and I'll add you to the list, and we can arrange payment.

There are five fabulous new colours this year - you can see them in the above image.  From top left they are: Pretty in Pink, Peach Pie, Shy Shamrock, Summer Splash and Petunia Pop.  As a club member you will receive one colour per month - and the following are the items you will receive in that colour:

  • Inkpad
  • Ink refill
  • Full pack A4 Cardstock
  • Blends Marker Combo pack (2)
  • Bordered Ribbon (9.1m)
One month out of the 5 months you will also receive a pack of Incolor Shimmer Gems and a pack of Incolor 6"X6" DSP (Papers shown below).

The colours will be sent out in random order - so each month will be like a little surprise to see what colour you will receive that month! (They are all awesome!)

Cost - $85 per month (includes postage)
Or if you prefer you can pay the total for the whole 5 months in one lump sum - $391.25 (free shipping)

I just love this year's colours and think you will too!

The first month of club will be May 2024.  You will need to have paid your amount by the 15th of each month from May - September (or pay the full amount before the 15th May). I will send out your colour to you by around the 24th of each month.  It's always fun to get a surprise pack in the mail!

By the way - being part of the club also qualifies you for my CraftAlong tutorials and supply packs each month!

Don't forget, if you would like to join the club, click HERE and let me know!

Im really looking forward to sharing these beautiful new colours with you in this way!

Our next Scrapbooking Day is coming up! Check out what we are making this time!

Yep its that time again. Time for our bi-monthly Scrapbooking class in the Hunter Valley.  This time we are playing with a mix of current and soon-to-retire products and you can see both our layouts on this post.

The layout features some of my favourite items - the beautiful Magnolia Mood bundle, plus the gorgeous Vellum Basics paper.

The above layout features some of my favourite photos from a fabulous day we spent in Alaska when we were there for the Stampin'Up incentive trip back in 2018.  I have enjoyed EVERY trip we have been on over the years, but I have a few favourites - let's call them my "top 5".  And this 2018 trip was simply amazing. I would go back to Alaska in a heartbeat! We cruised from Seattle all the way up to Skagway and Juneau, and then ventured onto the White Pass train to head over the border into the Yukon. What an amazing trip!

(Disclaimer: Less than 1% of demonstrators achieve these trips, so its kinda a big deal!)

The second layout is from a more recent event - our Stampin'Up training event in Melbourne last month. This event is called "Onstage" and its for any demonstrator to attend.  Its a weekend of learning, gathering and of course crafting!  This time I was lucky to have 12 of my team also in attendance and we also got to share some time together.  This photo was taken outside the main hall on the last day of the convention.

I used the "Fresh as a Daisy" dsp and had some help from the Notes of Nature stamp set.

Here's a close up of the butterfly detail:

For those coming to class on Thursday I am looking forward to seeing you!

CraftAlong is coming up this week - let's play with the Flowering Zinnias Suite collection!

Hello friends!

Yup, its that time again! CraftAlong is coming up this coming Thursday, 28th March.  And you are invited to join us!

What is CraftAlong? Its a public video, free to watch, where we create a beautiful project with a theme. This month I am focusing on a new product collection called Flowering Zinnias, and it is simply gorgeous!  For those that ordered over $60 in product with me last month (February) I have mailed you a supply pack that you can create the project along with me if you wish. However I find that a lot of people just watch me make the project on the first viewing, and then head back and make it whilst watching the replay.

At the end of the video there is an option to purchase additional tutorials on the same theme if you wish. Those that purchased with me last month also receive the additional tutorials free of charge, as do my team members.

This month my CraftAlong live video is scheduled for 2pm Thursday 28th March, and I really hope you will join us. I've designed a fun fold card that I think is super cute, and I hope you'll love it too! Click below at 2pm on Thursday (Sydney time) to watch the video:

Scraps of the following colours to die cut the flowers and leaves:

Adhesive-backed Shiny Sequins

I am using the Simply Zinnia bundle (stamps and dies) for this project. If you do not have this you can substitute with similar products that you have at home.

You can emboss your card with any embossing folder of your choice but I used the Zinnia 3D embossing folder.

The curved edge on the front of my card was created with the Around the Bend dies, although the Basic Borders dies would also work.

You will need adhesive of your choice, but I used Tombow Multi purpose adhesive, dimensionals and Mini glue dots.

Our Next CraftAlong event is coming up! And a sneak peek!

Hello friends! Yep its that time again... we are coming up to another CraftAlong event. What is CraftAlong? It is a live video that anyone can watch and create a great project with me!  I've been doing this for a couple of years and people tell me that they love them!

The next CraftAlong is coming up next Wednesday, 28th February at 2pm Sydney time.  The video is free to watch. This month we are creating Flap cards... there will be the main project that we make together, and then I'll also show you several other projects made with the same theme.  To watch the main, click the following video link at the appropriate time:

If you wish to create along with me, I am listing out the main products that I will be using. Of course you are welcome to substitute with whatever products you have in your stash! But should you wish to purchase any of these items I have made a "clickable" list below... just click the item you want and you will be taken to my Online Store to purchase it. (Note that the Online store links only work if you are in Australia, but if you are elsewhere contact your demonstrator to purchase the items)

Product List

If you have other circle dies or punches they can be used instead of the circles that I have used.

To Prepare:

Cut Basic White Thick cardstock card base, ie 1 sheet of cardstock cut in half.  Fold in half again to create card base

Cut 2 pieces of Daffodil Delight cardstock to measure 5cm x 14.3cm
Cut 2 pieces of Bee Mine dsp to measure 4.5cm x 13.8cm (Note you may wish to wait until the video so you know which piece to cut)

Cut piece of Sweet Sorbet Cardstock to measure 7cm x 4.5cm
Cut co-ordinating piece of DSP to measure 6.5cm x 4cm (Once again if you wait for the video you will know which pieces look best)

You will also need a scrap of Sweet Sorbet to cut a circle, and a scrap of dsp to cut a smaller circle. And a scrap of white to cut a small circle.
Additionally you will need a scrap of paper to punch the bee.  If you are stamping your bee with the matching stamp set you can use white. If you just have the punch then punch from a piece of Daffodil Delight. And the wings from a piece of Petal Pink glimmer paper.  We will talk about different options to make the bee work in the video.

If you do not have the bee punch at all, you may prefer to stamp your sentiment on the smaller circle and have this on the outside.

Thats it!  Everything else we will cover in the video.

Would you like a sneak peek?

At first I had difficulty getting a good photo:

Ah thats better...

See you all on Wednesday!

Video Tutorial: Fun tricks with Foil paper!

Hello friends!

This week on my Technique Tuesday video we played with Foil paper! I adore foil paper - its so versatile!  And I showed just a few different way to use it in this weeks video.

I think my favourite thing I showed this week was how to turn gold foil into silver foil! Yep.. you read that correctly!  Its not my original idea... I first saw this shown by a french demonstrator by the name of Lezards de Cilou.  When I saw her do this it blew my mind!

But there are loads of great tips in my video this week... to watch it click the Video link below:

And if there is anything you would like to purchase for yourself you are welcome to shop with me (in Australia).  Click HERE to go shopping!

Here is a close up of the card I made in this week's video... enjoy!

Video Tutorial: Watercolour Stamping with the Hills of Tuscany stamp set!

NO-ONE was surprised when they released the "Hills of Tuscany" stamp set and I bought it.  I mean, this set has my name all over it!

But even so, I have not played with it nearly as much as I should have. So in last night's video I grabbed it out and created the above card with it.  I wanted to create the look of a sunset over the hills. How do you think I did?

If you would like to watch the video and see how easy this is to do, you will find the link below:

I hope you enjoy it!
